Orca : Reserves & Resources

The Orca Quarry is made up of three sand and gravel deposits. The first of three deposits to be developed, the East Cluxewe deposit, contains a reserve of over 121 million tonnes of high-quality sand and gravel and is expected to have an operating life in excess of 25 years. Note:
1.  The mineral reserves have been categorised in accordance with the classifications defined by the Canadian Institute of Mining.
2.  The estimates are taken from the Orca AMEC 43-101 Technical report, October 2005.
The West Cluxewe and Bear Creek deposits are located adjacent to the East Cluxewe and contain measured and indicated resources of 34 million tonnes and 37.2 million tonnes respectively.

Extensive product testing has been completed on the Orca Quarry resource using an independent California laboratory, confirming that the Orca products are of a very high quality and exceed all technical requirements for use in California and the United States as determined by the California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) and the American Society for the Testing of Materials (ASTM).
