Ms. Dea is a Chartered Accountant who joined Polaris in October 2005 from Deloitte & Touche LLP where she was a senior manager in their Assurance & Advisory division. In her eleven years at Deloitte & Touche LLP, her main focus was auditing and public company reporting in the junior resource mining sector, both in Canada and the United States. Marco A. Romero
Position: Director, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Romero has over 27 years experience in the mining industry with senior roles in exploration, mine development and operations, mergers and acquisitions, environmental permitting, and business management. Mr. Romero is the founder of Polaris and has been its President since 2000. Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. from February 1998 to June 2000, and a co-founder and Executive Director of Eldorado Gold Corporation from 1991 to 1998. Judith Sayers
Position: Chair
Dr. Judith Sayers is the elected Chief of the Hupacasath First Nation that is located in Port Alberni, BC. Judith has been the chief in her community for nine years and chief negotiator for the treaty process for ten years. As Chief of her First Nation, she has been focusing on capacity building and economic development. The Hupacasath have a woodlot and salvage operations and have been negotiating joint ventures with respect to other possible opportunities in the forest sector. The Hupacasath are also involved in a micro hydro project, a developing aggregates business and other tourism ventures including a canoe tours/gift shop. Judith draws on her extensive background of practicing law for 18 years, working in international forums, lobbying governments and other agencies for the promotion and protection First Nations rights and title. Judith believes in building bridges between First Nations and community. In this regard, she sits as a non voting director on the Alberni Clayoquot Regional District as the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council representative, and a board member on the Chamber of Commerce. Harry P. Sutherland

Mr. Sutherland was the former VP Finance and CFO of Polaris from August 2000 to April 2006. He has over 30 years experience in senior financial responsibilities in the mining industry. He was the past Chief Financial Officer of Manhattan Minerals Corp. from 1996 to 1999, Chief Financial Officer of Eldorado Gold from 1995 to 1996, Manager of Finance of Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Ltd. from 1993 to 1995, and Chief Financial Officer of Imperial Metals Corporation from 1984 to 1992. Mr. Wilson was a founder, director, Executive Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer of Global Stone Corporation from 1992 to 1998, a Toronto-listed public company producing construction aggregates and lime products. Mr. Wilson is the past President of United States Lime & Minerals Inc. from 1999 to 2000 producing lime products and construction materials from limestone quarries located in the south-central states.
